My Equipment

Choosing the right tool is the key to efficiently completing any task, and camera & lenses are the most important tools for any photographer to start their work. Having less to no prior photography experience initially, choosing the right camera and lenses were a huge task for me. In fact I remember doing months of research in my free time back in 2017. Coming from an IT background, technology aspects of the camera and related lenses were an interesting part of the research for me. That was one of the main reasons why I went with Sony mirrorless system, because no other brands had the similar technology and a well developed mirrorless full frame lineup at the time.

So today we will talk a little about the photography gear I use.

Sony A7iii wasn’t even announced at the time I started my search but I knew A7 lineup was ready for a refresh soon, and I didn’t want to buy into an older camera and then replace it right after. So I waited a couple of months to see what happens but luckily A7iii was announced in February 2018 and it was within my expected budget as well.

Not only A7iii had all the features I expected but it also received high praise from almost all of the early reviewers, which sealed the deal for me. I pre-ordered it right away and been happily using it ever since.
